Werris Creek man taken to Royal North Shore Hospital with serious burns | The Northern Daily Leader

A MAN has been seriously burnt after trying to light a fire in Werris Creek on Monday night. At about 7.30pm the Westpac Rescue Helicopter was called to a rural property in the town after reports a 34-year-old man was suffering severe burns to his hands and torso. He reportedly was attempting to ignite a fire when the fire flashed over him. Read also: Local ambulance paramedics and emergency services attended the location and commenced treatment of the male before being driven by ambulance to the Tamworth airport. There, the Westpac Rescue Helicopter and critical care medical team rendezvoused with the man before being flown to the Royal North Shore Hospital.
