Calling all history buffs: Tamworth ADFAS’ Dr Stephen Cunneen to present colonial history lecture | The Northern Daily Leader

TAMWORTH history buffs are encouraged to get out in numbers as the local Australian Decorative and Fine Arts Societies (ADFAS) branch hosts its first full capacity lecture since March 2020. The event, which will be held on Friday, April 9 at the Tamworth Town Hall Passchendaele Room at 6pm will be headlined by ADFAS’ very own Dr Stephen Cunneen. He is set to make a presentation about NSW’s first governor Arthur Phillip and the effect he had on arts in the early years of European settlement. It’s part of early settler culture that is not often spoken about, but is one that deserves more attention according to Dr Cunneen.
